Lower School

Our pupils develop their interests and many talents in small classes, with caring and committed teachers. An exciting curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, from Information and Design Technologies to Music and the Arts. The children are taught in their own classrooms, usually by their class teacher. Classrooms are intended to be bright and stimulating environments with regular displays of pupils' work. As time goes by, specialists are introduced to the children in a number of areas. The core subjects of English and Mathematics remain important, and there is a particular emphasis on specialist teaching in Science and Technology. The enjoyment of reading is encouraged as part of the active partnership between home and school.
